Former St Kilda champion, Nick Dal Santo will determine what all 18 teams need to get out of this year's trade period.
As a part of AFL Trade Radio,ย Dal Santo this morning has focused on what will take Carlton to the next level.
โClearly their focus is on the small forward area with Eddie Betts, Tom Papley, Jack Martin and Dan Butler,โ he said.
But Dal Santo believes the change needs to come from the core.
โBut where their growth is going to come from is from within. The players they currently have,โ he said.
โMatthew Kennedy, David Cuningham, Paddy Dow, Jack Silvagni, Lochie OโBrien and Will Setterfield are six names that Iโd love to take the next step.
โIf this club is going to do what weโre all getting excited about, itโs up to those names.
โThey all need to take substantial steps forward."
Carlton won seven games in 2019, with a percentage of 84.
