There has been plenty of player movement this year, with trades, free agency signings and unfortunately, delistings.

With the cut to list sizes there has been more delistings than perhaps we are used to and that has seen some very formidable players let go.

With the pre-season draft coming up soon we take a look at the top ten players who should be given another chance on an AFL list in 2021.

*We have not included players like Marty Gleeson, Dylan Clarke and Matt Kennedy, who have been promised to be re-drafted.

1. Jacob Townsend

Townsend is a premiership player and has the ability to hit the scoreboard, a factor that helped him crack his way into a Richmond premiership win in 2017.

When he departed for Essendon for more opportunity last year, it seemed like a handy get. However, Ben Rutten seemingly doesn't agree.

Townsend is another player who will benefit from not being the number one forward and has a true goal scoring ability that you can't really put a price on.

Would be stunned if the hard-nosed forward isn't on a list come Round 1 next season.
