7. Luke Power
From one Luke to another, but this one leaving leaving the Lions rather than joining.
After 282 games for the Lions, including the three peat flags, Luke Power retired in 2011. His retirement came after being told his position would not be guaranteed in 2012.
Not long after announcing his retirement, Power joined the newly formed GWS. He would play one year with the Giants as co-captain alongside Callan Ward and Phil Davis.
Having an experienced leader at the club for its first season would have been very helpful.
Power was also able to reach 300 games by coming out of retirement.
