Three players have a chance to join the rare company by the end of the 2024 AFL season should they continue their resounding attacking impact in the home stretch.
Just 12 players are on record to have amassed at least 30 goals and 30 goal assists in a single season, with the feat having been reached 15 times in the last 21 years.
A trio of names could join the club in 2024 and be the first to do so since 2018, with GWS captain Toby Greene, Western Bulldogs star Marcus Bontempelli and Hawks forward Dylan Moore the best chances to next to reach the 30 and 30 club.
Greene looms as the best chance among the three, having already kicked 30 goals and needing seven assists, and, unlike Bontempelli and Moore, might not rely on a finals campaign to bring up the needed numbers.
Going at 1.4 goal assists per game, upholding that trajectory would see Greene finish with 30 goal assists by the end of the home and away season.
Bontempelli requires five more goals and ten more assists, with the latter target some stretch but certainly feasible for the Dogs skipper should his side return to September.
Moore has 27 goals to his name, but like Bontempelli currently has 20 goal assists in a season that is yet to guarantee a finals placing for the Hawks.
Geelong champion Steve Johnson is the only player to reach the 30 and 30 club in less than 23 games, with the Norm Smith Medal winner booting 49 goals and handing off a further 30 from 20 games during the Cats' 2007 premiership season.
Johnson is one of three players to manage the 30 and 30 mark in multiple seasons, having done so in 2011 as well, while Port Adelaide sensation Robbie Gray (2014 and 2017) and Moore's mentor Luke Breust (2013 and 2014) have also managed the benchmark in two campaigns.
Three-time All-Australian Eddie Betts almost reached 30 and 30 in three separate seasons. The small forward did so with Carlton in 2010 and came close on two more occasions during his time with Adelaide - amassing 29 assists in both 2014 and 2017 while booting more than 50 goals in each campaign.
Port Adelaide great Warren Tredrea holds the largest combined tally for any player that has 30 goals and 30 assists to their name, recording 58 goals and 33 assists in 2003 to total 91.
Brisbane livewire Jason Akermanis' season record of 44 goals assists in 2004 was matched with 44 majors of his own in the Lions' push for a fourth successive premiership.
Current Melbourne forward Jake Melksham is the most recent player to put up a 30 and 30 season, recording 32 goals and 33 goal assists in 2018 when the Demons reached a preliminary final.
