With Tom Wilson, a former Australian Boomer, set to make his debut for Collingwood this weekend, the topic of basketball backgrounds has come up (yet again).
With that in mind, we thought we'd rank our top 10 current players (based on current form) with a basketball background.
Here's what we went with:

7. Chad Wingard
Wingard captained South Australia's state-level basketball team at under 16's level and had a real passion to continue on with his basketball and play college basketball in the USA before ultimately selecting football as his sport of choice.
Wingard would be drafted by Port Adelaide with their 6th selection in the 2011 AFL draft and would spend seven years at the club before being traded to current club Hawthorn, where he has struggled in a sense to re-capture his Port Adelaide form.
