With Tom Wilson, a former Australian Boomer, set to make his debut for Collingwood this weekend, the topic of basketball backgrounds has come up (yet again).
With that in mind, we thought we'd rank our top 10 current players (based on current form) with a basketball background.
Here's what we went with:

2. Marcus Bontempelli
The former Eltham Wildcat is often compared to the glamorous Pendlebury in the attributes they bring to the big stage.
A National School Boys Basketball champion, Bontempelli had a significant impact on the hardwood in his early years and was even a tough matchup for NBA guard and Aussie star Dante Exum during their playing days.
"I didn't start footy until 8 or 9. I did love basketball but it is a bit of a myth I was an elite level basketballer!"
