Here is the third edition (30-21) of our top 50 AFLย players right now...
4. 27 - Jack Sinclair
Jack Sinclair has firmly established himself as St Kilda's best player over the past three seasons, with two best & fairest awards and back-to-back All-Australian selections in 2022 and 2023.
Though 2024 marked a slight regression in his performance, it's hard to ignore the Saints' disappointing season as a contributing factor, missing finals after finishing sixth the previous year.
Sinclair was often deployed by Ross Lyon in various roles across the backline and midfield, which, while showcasing his versatility, may have impacted his natural flow and rhythm on the field.
Despite the shifts, Sinclair's elite ball use and decision-making remained evident, especially toward the end of the season when he reaffirmed his status as one of the AFL's most reliable and precise ball movers.
Now 29, Sinclair enters a pivotal stage in his career, potentially with three prime seasons left to help guide the Saints' emerging talents.
His role as a mentor and on-field leader will be invaluable as St Kilda looks to re-enter finals contention, hoping Sinclair's experience can steer the team toward success.
