Delisted Collingwood forward Nathan Kreuger is reportedly on the radar of AFL clubs once again, with St Kilda, Melbourne and the Pies contemplating a move for the Mid-Season Draft.
Could it be third times the charm?
Kreuger was let go by the Pies at the end of 2024 after 13 games in three seasons, but that wasn't before he spent three years at Geelong in the proceeding campaigns.
The 25-year-old joined Geelong's VFL program following his delisting, and has been impressive as a defender, forcing recruiters to turn their heads, according to AFL Media.
Kreuger has averaged 15 disposals and eight marks.
He also featured in the VFL in the state game win against the SANFL in the Barossa Valley on Saturday.
The interest from the Saints and Demons is to bolster their tall defensive stocks.
Max King could miss more football for St Kilda after it was confirmed he is set for more surgery on his troublesome knee.
King is still expected to feature in 2025, but as a contingency, Kreuger could be an option at either end.
Similar situation at Collingwood, with Reef McInnes going down with an ACL injury and is likely opening a vacancy at the club.
As for Melbourne, their defensive structures have been battered due to injuries to Steven May and Jake Lever, with the latter out for eight weeks.
Simon Goodwin is also attempting to correct their forward woes, and Kreuger has proven he can provide a target.
Essendon and Carlton will also have vacancies on their list come the mid-season intake as serious injuries to Nick Bryan (knee) and Brodie Kemp (Achilles) occurred at Gather Round.
Port Adelaide is likely to open a spot on their list, given Todd Marshall's (Achilles) availability.
The Mid-Season Draft is between Rounds 11 and 12.
