Collingwood, Gold Coast and Brisbane will take part in a three-club match simulation session in Queensland in February as part of the AFL's pre-season schedule for 2025.
All three clubs will suit up for the hitout at the Suns' home of People First Stadium on Thursday, February 20 for a training intensity session.
The format of the session, which will see players from the Magpies, Suns and Lions feature at Carrara, is yet to be confirmed, as is the timing of the match simulation.
The event will take place a week prior to the 2025 Community Series when Collingwood meet Richmond, Gold Coast host Sydney and Brisbane to welcome Adelaide.
The session will see the Suns don their new strip and logo, while it will be the Lions' first hitout since winning the premiership in September. Collingwood fans are in line to see new recruits Dan Houston and Harry Perryman represent the black and white for the first time also.
The concept for three clubs to partake in the one match simulation session comes as Fremantle are scheduled to clash with the Indigenous All Stars on February 15.
The showcase match will shake up the draw of pre-season matches, with games outside of the Community Series to be managed by each club and communicated in due course.
Clubs will organise differing formats for match simulations, with recent years seeing VFL/WAFL/SANFL players involved in sessions ranging from four quarters to eighths.
Further match simulations will be confirmed in the coming weeks, while the first players to be part of the Indigenous All Stars will be confirmed this week.
