Geelon big man Nathan Vardy is reportedly being targeted by at least three rival clubs.

The Herald Sun reports that Hawthorn, Greater Western Sydney and the Western Bulldogs have all shown interest in the 25-year-old.

He appears increasingly likely to request a trade at the end of the season to seek more first team opportunity.

Vardy, who can play as either a ruckman or a key forward, has managed just 25 career games in seven seasons with the Cats due to injuries and more recently, falling down the pecking order to the likes of Rhys Stanley, Zac Smith and Shane Kersten.

He played just three games in 2015 and has made just one appearance at senior level this season.

Vardy, 199cm tall, was selected with pick No. 42 in the 2009 National Draft.
