Three state league players have been granted exemptions from the AFL to nominate in this year's upcoming NAB AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft.
Under league rules, players are only eligible to nominate in the mid-season rookie draft if they have formally been on an AFL list or were overlooked in the most recent AFL draft.
The league however, reserves the right to make exemptions on a case-by-case basis, influenced by club interest.

West Adelaide's Josh Carmichael, Sandringham Dragons' Hugo Hall-Kahan and Port Melbourne's Will Reinhold were the lucky three to be granted league approval to feature in the draft, to be held on Wednesday June 1.
Carmichael, a 22-year-old midfielder, has played six matches for West Adelaide in 2022, averaging 24.3 disposals and 5.5 clearances per game.
18-year-old Hall-Kahan has been impressive up forward in the NAB League so far this year, booting 11 goals across four matches. While Reinhold, a cousin of Brisbane's Joe Daniher, looms as a solid tall defensive prospect.
Fellow prospect Wade Derksen, hailing from Peel Thunder, was not as fortunate, with the AFL not granting the youngster an exemption.
