The Round 5 fixture is set to be party redrawn, reports The Age.
It comes after news that Thursday night's blockbuster between Richmond and West Coast at Metricon Stadium was put in doubt due to the spike of coronavirus cases in Victoria.
The Queensland Government has reportedly expressed concerns about letting Victorians into the state due to the recent outbreak.
The Eagles-Tigers clash will reportedly be postponed, with West Coast now instead facing the Swans this Saturday, likely on the Gold Coast.
Richmond are likely to face Melbourne in Victoria, Sydney's original opponent.
Saturday's clash between St Kilda and Carlton is likely to be moved to Thursday night, according to multiple reports.
A senior club figure expressed concerns that the spike of cases in Victoria would lead to more hubs.
Some Richmond members were informed on Monday morning that ticket sales for the game had been frozen.
"Please note that there has been a hold on the 9am ticket on sale for our round five game at Metricon Stadium against the West Coast Eagles," the club wrote to its members.
"We apologise for the inconvenience and will be in contact with all eligible members with further information as soon as it becomes available."
Richmond and the AFL declined comment from the The Age.Â
