Richmond has extended a pair of invitations to WAFL forward Mitch Schofield and Kiwi-born VFL prospect Mykelti Lefau to train at Punt Road throughout the course of the pre-season supplemental selection period.
Both Schofield and Lefau commenced their time at Tigerland, getting their pre-season blocks underway with the rest of Richmond's first-to-fourth-year players.
Schofield, 22, has made his way across the Nullarbor fresh off the back of a 30-goal season for East Perth after making the jump from park football in recent seasons.
While born in Auckland, Lefau will be familiar to many inside the Tigers' den, with the 23-year-old having turned out for Richmond's VFL team on 17 occasions since joining the club ahead of the 2022 season.
Averaging 10.4 disposals and 4.8 tackles at VFL level, Lefau had previously played a role within the Casey Demons' setup, as well as taking part in the Melbourne Storm's pathway program.
According to reports from Josh Gabelich of AFL Media, the pair will likely train with Adem Yze's side until the Christmas break.
Richmond has brought five names into their fold across the course of the trade and draft periods, with former Hawk Jacob Koschitzke and ex-Swan Sam Naismith joined by draftees Liam Fawcett and Kane McAuliffe, as well as former basketballer Oliver Hayes-Brown.
