Dion Prestia has been given the green light to play in the finals after getting through training on the weekend.
The two-time premiership midfielder has not played since suffering a syndesmosis injury in Round 5 but could line up for the Tigers in their qualifying final against Brisbane on Friday night.
“Dion trained with us last Friday. He‘s been training for a couple of weeks now, but last Friday we did a bit of an internal practice match and he participated in the whole game and has pulled up really well. So he’ll be available for selection this week,” Richmond physical performance manager Peter Burge told the club’s website.
The news is also good for Tom Lynch who will return to the team after hurting his hamstring against Geelong in Round 17.
Shai Bolton is also expected to return from the corked calf that ruled him out of the final game of the season against Adelaide, while Josh Caddy has a knee issue that will be monitored during the week.
It has been a good bye-weekend for the Tigers after Jack Graham put pen to paper on a new deal to stay at Punt Road until 2023.
Premiership ruckman Toby Nankervis has also indicated that he wants to stay at the Tigers despite interest from other clubs.
"I absolutely want to be at the club. [Contract talks are] on-going but for me I've got bigger and better things to worry about at the moment and all my focus is on this first final coming up and I can't wait for that opportunity. The other stuff takes care itself I think," Nankervis told AFL.com.au.
