The undefeated Saints may welcome the inclusion of key forward Tim Membrey for Round 5's Gather Round clash against Collingwood, with Membrey back in the selection frame.
The 28-year-old is yet to play a game this season after being sidelined with a knee injury in the pre-season, but will be available for selection should he get through training this week.
Acting General Manager of Football at the Saints, David Misson, confirmed Membrey's potential return this weekend, saying it was pleasing for the club.
“We're buoyed at the possibility of Tim playing this week,” Acting General Manager of Football David Misson said.
“Tim is a vocal leader on and off the field, something all of our players benefit from.
“Should Tim tick all the boxes this week, he'll definitely be a talking point at the selection table.”
St Kilda has been without both Membrey and Max King inside 50 so far this season, with Ross Lyon forced to throw the magnets around without his two key forwards.
Anthony Caminiti, who only joined the club in February as a SSP player, has played in all four rounds to kick five goals, while small forward Jack Higgins leads the club's goal-kicking tally with ten majors.
Jack Bytel has been cleared of serious injury after being forced off the field late in Saturday night's win over Gold Coast due to an ankle concern.
“Jack has avoided serious injury which is great, especially given his recent run of bad luck,” Misson said.
“We'll monitor how his ankle heals this week and have a better idea on his return to play timeframe after that.”
Captain Jack Steele is still 1-2 weeks away from his return from a collarbone injury, as is Jack Billings as he continues his recovery from a leg fracture.
