Carton have decided to delist trio Josh Honey, Sam Philp and Lochie O'Brien ahead of the 2024 season.

The delistings come less than a week on from the Blues' preliminary finals exit and just days after defender Lachie Plowman announced his retirement from the game.

O'Brien departs Princes Park after 66 games in six years in the navy blue, having joined the club as the 10th overall pick in the 2017 National Draft.

Honey's delisting comes after 17 games for the club, with the small forward managing six appearances in 2023.

Philp will bid farewell to the Blues after both of his AFL appearances during the 2020 season, having battled with an extensive injury run during his time with Carlton.

“Lochie had six seasons at the football club and forged some great relationships during that time, he is a quality character which we know will hold him in good stead for what lies ahead,” Carlton list manager Nick Austin said in a club statement.

“Josh and Sam's capacity to keep fronting up in the midst of adversity throughout their four seasons at the Club is a great testament to their resilience, which was certainly appreciated by their teammates, coaches and entire football department.

“The Club wishes all three players nothing but the best for the next chapter in their journey.”

The three departures add to the retirements of Plowman and midfielder Ed Curnow, leaving Paddy Dow, Caleb Marchbank, Sam Durdin and David Cuningham as the only Blues players remaining without a deal for 2024.
