It feels like more often than not, the Showdown is one of the best games of the year regardless of how the two teams are playing, this was no exception.

This was another back and forth contest between the two bitter enemies and this time it was the Power who took home the chocolates, thanks to a very late Steven Motlop goal.

Port lead by 17 points late in the lat term to appear ready to celebrate, only for the Crows to turn the game on its head within a matter of minutes.

A Mitch McGovern goal late seemed like the Crows had stolen victory, however the Power won the centre clearance and Motlop saved the day with 21 seconds to go in a classic encounter.
