The Giants once again beat Richmond at Spotless Stadium in another thrilling contest back in July, this time by two points.
The Giants controlled proceedings for much of the day and lead by 19 points at the final change before the premiers fought back, kicking four goals to one in the final term.
A late Jack Riewoldt goal kept the Tigers in it however it was the Giants who won the crucial centre clearance and held on for a win that revitalised their season and was a catalyst for their eventual finals berth.
As of writing, it remains the last time the Tigers have lost in 2018.
