For what has been a tumultuous decade for the Melbourne Demons, the club looks to have produced a number of players who may just go down as future club legends.
The Dees have only managed to reach September just once in that time, and while the highly sought after top draft selections came their way, only a few have lived up to the hype.
Many of the club's current best have erected from outside of the club's first-round picks or via father-son selection, with the clubs current future relying on those from their more glorified past.
Five players have won the honour of being selected into the league's All-Australian side over the past 10 seasons, with just the seven total selections shared between the quintet.
After going backwards this season, Melbourne will be desperate to start the new decade with a fresher start, hopefully matching the season they had in 2018.
6. James Frawley
James Frawley became a household name in 2010, with the Melbourne defender becoming one of the league's best backmen at the age of 21.
Frawley was selected as a back-pocket in the All-Australian side and finished second to Brad Green in the club's best and fairest after collecting a few big-name scalps along the way.
While injuries halted his start to the 2011 season, Frawley regained his position in the side's back six and regularly went head-to-head with the opponents best forward. The Demons faced a disastrous season but Frawley remained a highlight.
The Demons' struggles continued under the appointment of Mark Neeld, with the club winning just six games across the 2012-2013 seasons. Frawley was consistently within the club's most consistent players despite the uphill battles.
2014 saw Frawley pushed forward as a replacement for a number of injured key position players. Frawley had just the three goals to his name prior to that season and ended the year with 15 majors from his 21 games.
Frawley moved to the Hawks at the end of 2014, where he would go on to win a flag the following season.
Frawley managed 139 games across his eight years with the Demons.
