FSeptember is the ultimate test for any AFL footballer, where any team can win on any given day.
In the past decade, there have been a plethora of unbelievable finals results and performances, and we've managed to whittle them all down to a top five.
3. Richmond (16.12 108) def Adelaide (8.12 60) - 2017 Grand Final
Although they finished equal on points with Geelong, Adelaide were the best team of the 2017 season. And after winning their qualifying and preliminary final match-ups by 36 and 61 points respectively, they were strong favourites heading into the final game.
Richmond also performed well throughout 2017, finishing in third spot, enjoying a similarly dominant finals series, with big wins over Geelong and GWS. However, the Tigers were outsiders heading into the decider, with Adelaide's 76-point drubbing in round six fresh in the minds of pundits. Frankly, it was just hard to see this mighty Crows team losing.
After trailing at quarter-time, the Tigers kicked into gear and didn't look back, kicking 14 of the next 16 goals to win by 48 points to secure their first premiership since 1980.
