Round 1 of the 2018 AFL season may still be over three months away, but next season's SuperCoach prices have already been released.
The Herald Sun today revealed that Geelong star Patrick Dangerfield will start the season as the game's most expensive player, costing an enormous $749,800. Dangerfield averaged 136 SuperCoach points per game in 2017.
Richmond's Dustin Martin, who averaged 119 points this season, comes in second at $656,000, while Hawthorn ball magnet Tom Mitchell is third at $653,500.
Despite three years of injuries and an aging body, Gary Ablett is the fourth most expensive player, coming in at $631,100 upon his return to Geelong.
