Sydney star Isaac Heeney has returned to the top four and remains right in contention for this year's Zero Hanger MVP title with two rounds remaining.
Heeney polled 18 votes in Friday night's thrilling come-from-behind win, with the Swans midfielder playing an integral part in his side's late turnaround, with teammate Chad Warner also voted best-afield for his fourth-quarter efforts.
With leader Patrick Cripps and second-placed Nick Daicos failing to poll over the weekend, the gap between the top five has shrunk to just 21 votes.
Essendon captain Zach Merrett has held his place in third with 15 votes in his side's defeat to Gold Coast, while Western Bulldogs gun Marcus Bontempelli added eight votes to his season tally to sit in fifth with 193 votes.
The entire top seven remain in the race for this year's crown, with Brisbane midfielder Lachie Neale 32 votes off Cripps while Fremantle's Caleb Serong will need a perfect final fortnight to level the Blues skipper on 214 votes from here.
Former Pick 1 selections Matt Rowell and Jason Horne-Frances both polled perfect games for their respective sides' wins on Saturday night, while St Kilda ruckman Rowan Marshall was the only other player to poll 20 votes in Round 22 thanks to his dominance over the Tigers.
Adelaide's Darcy Fogarty and Hawthorn's Dylan Moore were next best from the weekend with 19 votes each, while Serong and Heeney were one of five to poll 18 votes, joined by Roos ruckman Tristan Xerri, GWS bull Tom Green and Geelong captain Patrick Dangerfield.
