Geelong forward Shaun Mannagh will remain at GMHBA Stadium until at least the end of 2029 after re-signing with the Cats for a further three seasons.

A star for Werribee in the VFL, Mannagh finally got his chance at the top level when he joined the Cats as a mature-age recruit in 2023. He was selected at Pick 36 in the 2023 National Draft, before debuting in Round 1, 2024. Mannagh played 12 games in his first season, including two finals.

The 28-year-old cemented his position in the senior side in 2025, kicking 31 goals across 23 matches. He also finished the year with 20 goal assists.

In recognition of his standout season, Mannagh claimed the AFLCA Best Young Player Award.

Mannagh was influential in the Cats' Round 1 win against the Dockers, tallying 16 disposals and three goals.

"Shaun has quickly become an important part of our Club on and off the field, and we're thrilled to see him commit for another three years," Geelong Cats EGM of Football Andrew Mackie said.

"We know the energy, enthusiasm and maturity he brings will continue to benefit the team, support our emerging players, and complement our senior group."

Mannagh has kicked 50 goals for the Cats in 37 games.

A host of Geelong players are out of contract in 2026, including captain Patrick Dangerfield, Mark Blicavs and Jack Bowes.
