The Herald Sun are reporting massive updates on the futures of Dylan Shiel, Chad Wingard, Steven May and Daniel Menzel.

Shiel will ask to return to Victoria

Dylan Shiel is expected to ask for a trade to a Melbourne club as early as this week.

Victorian clubs believe Shiel is certain to ask to return home, with the Giants conducting exit interviews on Wednesday and Thursday.

Carlton, Essendon, St Kilda and Hawthorn are all interested in the midfielder, with the Blues (pick 1) and St Kilda (pick 3) holding the best hands.

The 2017 All-Australian drew plenty of criticism for his performances in this years finals series. Shiel had 22 disposals at 50 per cent efficiency against Collingwood.

Port won't offer huge sums to keep Wingard

Port Adelaide will not overpay to retain Chad Wingard due to his mediocre form this season, according to the Herald Sun.

The Power have told Wingard to assess his options at Melbourne clubs, which are believed to be offering as much as $1 million a season for up to five years.

The Bulldogs, where close mate Jackson Trengove plays, have pick six and could potentially offer that selection up for the 25-year-old.

Hawthorn are also said to be interested in the forward and see him as a replacement for Cyril Rioli.

Port Adelaide are aware of Wingard’s brilliant talents, but are determined not to pay overs for a player who hasn’t kicked 40 goals in a year since 2015 (53 goals).

Wingard kicked 22 goals in 21 games this season and spent more time in midfield.

Collingwood players told May is coming

The Herald Sun are reporting Collingwood players have been told Steven May will be at the club next year.

The Suns have made it clear they want to hang on to the defender, despite the interest from the Magpies.

Collingwood list manager Ned Guy is May's former manager and the two remain close friends.

Saints no longer interested in Menzel

St Kilda is no longer interested in Daniel Menzel, according to the Herald Sun's Sam Edmund.

“Dan Menzel will stay at Geelong, after it seems St Kilda has aborted the chase for him,” Edmund told SEN Breakfast.

“That’s probably going to happen soon. He won’t be going to St Kilda.”

Menzel played 13 games this season, kicking 27 goals.
