GWS could have key trio Jesse Hogan, Jake Stringer and Kieren Briggs available for Saturday's clash with Hawthorn, with coach Adam Kingsley also buoyed by the returns of the club's suspended players from their post-season celebrations controversy.
Hogan (hand) and Stringer (hamstring) are yet to feature at AFL level this year but are tipped to be in the frame for Round 3 selection, while Briggs is in a similar position following his concussion from Opening Round.
The Giants will assess the needed factors before a decision is made on the senior trio, with Stringer and Briggs potentially coming back through the VFL if not deemed to be at peak fitness.
"I think so, I'll have to check with the physios. We'll have match committee this arvo," Kingsley said of Hogan and Stringer on Thursday. "It looked like they got through (today's session). If they did, then we can expect to see them (play). They're pretty eager. We'll assess and see.
"(Whether Stringer comes through the VFL) will be the discussion we have. There's probably been an assumption he comes straight in, I'm not sure that's necessarily true. We need to assess what he's capable of and if he's capable of playing a full AFL game.
"It's been a month since he played, and even that was 15 minutes of a VFL session.

"'Briggsy' seems fine. He did matchplay for eight minutes, which was a good sign, but it's hardly even a quarter, let alone a game.
"We'll need to assess and have those discussions on whether we think he's capable of running out a game. If he's not, then we'll take a different tactic, whether that's VFL or an additional training week."
The Giants will also have Jake Riccardi, Harvey Thomas, Toby McMullin and Joe Fonti available after the four players served two-game bans for their roles in the club's infamous off-season celebrations.
Kingsley said the form of his incumbent side and the lack of football for the quartet will likely mean they return via the VFL this weekend when the Giants' reserves face Williamstown on Saturday.
"Given the way we've been playing our first two games of the season, it's probably fair and reasonable that we reward the guys in our selection," Kingsley said.
"I wouldn't expect to see those guys come straight into the team, because they haven't played for three weeks.
"We need to reward the players that have been getting the jobs done. We'll probably see all those boys come back through the VFL."
The Giants will consider tagging Hawthorn gun Will Day when the two teams meet at UTAS Stadium on Saturday night, having looked to quell the impact of the midfielder in the past.
Kingsley confirmed Toby Bedford could be tasked with a run-with role against Day; however made note of the impact of fellow Hawks ball-winner Jai Newcombe and others.
"His Opening Round game was outstanding," the Giants coach said of Day.

"We have tagged him in the past, because we know how important he is to them. But you can lock Day away, and then Newcombe bobs up. They've got plenty of options to tag.
"We'll need to choose really carefully."
The Giants and Hawks will clash in Launceston at 7:35 pm (AEDT), with both sides entering the encounter undefeated.
