Departed Carlton midfielder Jack Carroll reportedly has interest from a trio of AFL clubs in the wake of his delisting at the Blues.

Carroll was one of three players cut by the club on Tuesday, however Sam Durdin and Matt Carroll are set to be offered train-on opportunities over the summer to potentially secure a career lifeline.

The decision to delist the 21-year-old came after Carroll played 15 games under coach Michael Voss this year - with nine of those games coming as either the sub or being subbed out of a match.

The emerging midfield-forward asset put forward strong VFL form and had glimpses at senior level, but ultimately struggled to move up the pecking order despite a host of injuries to fellow onballers.

Certainly worthy of an AFL list spot for 2025, Carroll could find a new home via delisted free agency, draft windows or as a Supplemental Selection Period acquisition over the pre-season.

According toย The West Australian,ย the Geraldton product might have no issue in securing a second chance in the top flight as WA sides West Coast and Fremantle, as well as GWS, show an interest in Carroll's services.

The Eagles have been linked to Carroll for a large portion of this year as his contract with Carlton neared an end, with the Perth powerhouse weighing up moves for unsigned local names heading into the off-season.

West Coast managed to secure Liam Baker from Richmond along with fellow Tiger Jack Graham as a free agent, while Carroll's teammate Matthew Owies was also traded to the Eagles.

Recently delisted Port Adelaide defender Tom Clurey is seen as a chance to join the Eagles this off-season also.

His old teammate, Quinton Narkle, is another linked to a move west and could join Fremantle after the draft period as an SSP signing, with the Dockers potentially weighing up a move for one or both Narkle and Carroll.

GWS' reported interest in Carroll comes after the club lost James Peatling (Adelaide), Isaac Cumming (Adelaide), Harry Perryman (Collingwood) and Nick Haynes (Carlton) during the trade and free agency windows.

The departures of both Peatling and Perryman have opened up spots in the Giants' midfield selection queue, which could open the door for senior action for a player like Carroll in 2025.
