Carlton are reportedly interested in contracted Port Adelaide defender Dan Houston.
The Blues are in a difficult position to please the Power should Houston want to move to Princes Park, with the All-Australian still said to be keen to return to his home state despite a potential move to Melbourne falling through.
Carlton wouldn't be willing to part with their first-round pick for this year's draft, according toย AFL.com.au,ย who have revealed Blues coach Michael Voss - who formerly worked with the Power - may have even contacted Houston about a move.

Pickett interest rekindled as trio of clubs keep tabs
Port Adelaide are said to have "renewed" their interest in Melbourne forward Kysaiah Pickett.
Pickett re-signed with the Demons last year after strong interest from the Power, who are again showing a desire to lure the South Australian to Alberton Oval, perย SEN'sย Sam Edmund.
Adelaide and Fremantle have also asked the question, however Pickett is contracted until the end of 2027.

Unsigned Saints tall on radar of rivals
St Kilda aren't expected to re-sign forward-ruck hybrid Jack Hayes, who is said to have potential suitors in Victoria.
9 News Adelaideย have reported that Hayes has interest from a number of Melbourne clubs, who could land Hayes as a delisted free agent this off-season.
Hayes has shown promise but endured a difficult three seasons at Moorabbin, having faced a number of injury setbacks during his time with the Saints.

Port reportedly table deal to Magpie
The Power have reportedly offered unsigned Collingwood forward Joe Richards a four-year deal.
7 News'ย Mitch Cleary revealed this week that the South Australian club is keen to lure the nine-game Magpie to South Australia as they look to bolster their small forward stocks.
The Power have fallen short on moves for Will Hayward, Tyson Stengle and Ben Ainsworth this year, with Richards proving to be a potentially cheaper option with upside.

Shai Bolton, Liam Baker and Daniel Rioli could all part for first-round picks, while Jack Graham's potential free agency exit would strengthen the Tigers' already strong draft hand via compensation.
Using a number of later picks in deals to help clubs wanting to acquire Academy and father-son tied prospects, the Tigers are positioned to add more top 20 picks this off-season.

Viney turns back on Roos interestย
After rumours linking North Melbourne to Demons vice-captain Jack Viney, the premiership Demon re-signed with Melbourne on a new deal until the end of 2028.
Viney was already signed to the Demons until the end of next year, with the club adding a further three seasons to his deal to see him likely end his career as a one-club player.
The agreement immediately put an end to trade ties between Viney and the Kangaroos.
