Sam Philp, a former first-round pick for the Carlton Blues, has found a new club that will see him alternate between two different competitions.

Last playing in the AFL in 2023, the midfielder appeared in two matches for the Blues and kicked one goal before being delisted by the team.

His delisting came after four seasons with the team as the Northern Knights' product battled a number of injury setbacks throughout his career.

After spending the 2024 season with Port Melbourne, Philp has joined Old Paradians in the NFNL competition.

There, he will link up with his father, Stephen, who is the club's vice president and a life member, as well as his brother Tom who was a member of the team's Division 3 premiership this year.

However, while he has joined Old Paradians, he will remain on Port Melbourne's list for next season and will be available for Parade when possible.
