Brady Wright. Remember the name.
The Werribee Tigers forward is making waves following an extraordinary 2026 campaign in the VFL as a key forward.
Wright, fresh off a seven-goal haul against the Footscray Bulldogs, is quickly becoming the talk of the town, with AFL clubs beginning to line up for his services ahead of the draft in November.
"Ballarat Rebel, played as that third tall (forward), certainly had talent then," Phoenix Management Group AFL agent Scott Lucas said on an AFL Media podcast.
"A club texted me yesterday to ask if he'd grown, and I couldn't answer that. But I think he probably has because now he looks closer to a key (forward) than a third tall.
"He's extremely talented. You can revisit history. Mid-year draft, I think a little bit unlucky, but I can also say his form has been red-hot since then. You can easily look in the rearview and say a club should've done this and that, but in fairness, he has really caught fire.
"He has had a couple (interviews) at this stage. Three or four more booked in. VFL players are generally a little bit different. Clubs like to see the growth of an underage player from perhaps February to the end of the year, because they are younger.
"I think for VFL players, in his case he works as a plumber, he has shown that he's got a level of maturity. He's involved in the VFL, which is a senior football program; he plays against AFL players. There's a lot more evidence about how you'll settle and go against your peers.
"So clubs generally wait until the end of the year, and one interview is enough. He's had a couple. Got a couple more lined up. I expect interest to grow and realised in the next month.
"I'd be extremely surprised if he wasn't drafted."
Wright has kicked 42 goals this season from 13 games, leading the Tigers' front half as they look to lock away a home qualifying final.
The 22-year-old joined Werribee ahead of last year after spending time with Darley in the Ballarat Football Netball League.
Wright is in line to win the Fothergill-Round-Mitchell Medal, which is awarded to the most promising young talent in the VFL. He is set to continue the remarkable trend of winners being drafted to the AFL.
