Hawthorn sharpshooter Jack Gunston has managed to shake off a concerning ankle injury sustained against Collingwood at the MCG.
Early into the second half of Sunday's clash between the Hawks and Magpies, Gunston's right leg was caught under Collingwood defender Darcy Moore after an attempted mark.
Gunston was instantly left holding his ankle after the gruesome incident, with Hawks medical staff coming to his aid.
After initially brushing off the assistance, Gunston stayed on the field for several minutes before eventually heading into the Hawks' rooms.
The 30-year-old soon returned to the field after further assessment, with Hawks coach Sam Mitchell opting not to use his medical substitution.
The ailment comes in Gunston's return match from an ankle injury that has kept him sidelined since Round 9.
The Hawks have Daniel Howe available as their medical sub for the match.
