Port Adelaide champion Kane Cornes has encouraged Collingwood to consider drafting axed Adelaide forward Tyson Stengle following a tough start to the year for the Magpies' small-forward stocks.
Stengle was released by the Crows last month after being stood down by the club following a string of off-field altercations.
Following three indiscretions in eight months, Adelaide decided to cull Stengle ahead of the 2021 season.

Stengle has since signed with SANFL side Woodville-West Torrens in hope of getting his career back on track.

Speaking on SEN, Cornes put forward a left-field idea to suggest the Magpies should look to sign the troubled forward given the current form of Collingwood's forwards following Thursday's narrow loss to Brisbane.
“I reckon if I was Collingwood, I’d be having a close look at Tyson Stengle in the Mid-Season Draft,” Cornes said.
“Let go by Adelaide, I know he’s got significant issues, but he’s playing SANFL footy over here (in Adelaide) and has been training.
“He is a player they can add for nothing into the forward line with some speed and goalkicking prowess.

“It is a tough position to play. It is a footballer’s graveyard.
“[Will] Hoskin-Elliott making some really poor blues as well. Dropped an easy mark inside 50 in the last quarter."
The Magpies are set to be without gun forward Jamie Elliott for the next three months after fracturing his fibula in Collingwood's Round 2 win over Carlton.
Whether Collingwood or another AFL side look to sign Stengle in the Mid-Season Rookie Draft, there looks to be some uncertainty whether the 22-year-old will be eligible to be available for selection.
Collingwood have two list spots available for the Mid-Season Rookie Draft, which commences on June 2.
