St Kilda have reportedly turned their attention to delisted Kangaroos ruckman Tom Campbell ahead of the delisted free agency period.
Campbell was axed by North Melbourne earlier this week, joining stalwarts Shaun Atley, Trent Dumont and mid-season recruit Charlie Ham in exiting Arden Street.
The Saints have identified their ruck stocks as an area to bolster this off-season, having attempted to trade for Campbell's teammate Tristan Xerri during the recently passed exchange window.
St Kilda's bargaining failed to meet the desires of the Kangaroos, with Xerri remaining in the blue and white for another season as he is contracted until the end of 2022.

Now, according to AFL.com.au's Riley Beveridge, the Saints are expressing some interest in Campbell's services for next year, with the Moorabbin club eager to add depth to their ruck pecking order.
Brett Ratten's side have faced some battles in their height department given the frequency of injuries hampering first-string duo Rowan Marshall and Patrick Ryder.
With Ryder likely entering the final year of his career next season, Ratten and the Saints have looked to identify formidable assets to aid their ruck stocks for the future.
With Xerri remaining at North Melbourne and Campbell subsequently being discarded from the Roos, the Saints have switched their focus to the more senior option.
Campbell has played 54 games in his 10-year career, failing to play more than nine matches in any campaign between his stints with the Bulldogs and Kangaroos.
The 29-year-old played nine matches this season in a sporadic string of selections, being required as a reinforcement to the favoured Todd Goldstein and Xerri.
With the Kangaroos also recruiting Tigers tall Callum Coleman-Jones from Punt Road, Campbell's requirements at North Melbourne were depleted.
Should Campbell make his way to RSEA Park this off-season, he will be joining a revamped ruck group, with Shaun McKernan having called-time on his career and Sam Alabakis not offered a new deal for 2022.
Standing in queue behind Marshall and Ryder is inexperienced duo Max Heath and Paul Hunter, with the latter yet to recommit for a second year at St Kilda.
