2006 - Eddie Betts
With half the players on the ground involved in a melee further up the ground, Betts played the ball instead of the man and was rewarded for doing so.
After smothering a handball from Tarkyn Lockyer, Betts picked up the ball just centimetres from the boundary for composing himself and slotting the check-side bender under pressure from two Collingwood players.
