Two West Coast rookies have earned new deals with the Eagles, who have announced extensions for young forward pairing Archer Reid and Loch Rawlinson.
Reid has signed a two-year extension at Lathlain Park to see his services tied to the royal blue and gold until the end of 2027, while Rawlinson has earned a one-year extension for the 2025 season.
Taken at Pick 30 in last year's AFL Draft out of the Gippsland Power, Reid is yet to debut at senior level but has played 15 WAFL games in his first year with the club for a return of 17 goals.
The promising key forward said he's excited to continue his career with the Eagles, with a debut potentially to come in 2025 following a delayed started to his maiden season.
โLooking at what we've got and really getting to know the boys in my first year I can really see that the club is going somewhere, and I really wanted to be part of it,โ Reid said.
โI feel like us young boys are really going to drive it.
โMe and Loch have become quite close so it's great that he's with me and can't wait to see what he can produce next year as well.โ
Rawlinson was picked up in last year's Rookie Draft as the first overall pick out of SANFL club Sturt.
The 19-year-old made his AFL debut in Round 4 against Sydney, featuring as the tactical sub in Adelaide for Gather Round.
โI've built some really strong relationships with the boys after only being here for a year, which has been really good for me,โ Rawlinson said.
โReally settled into life here, love living here and just really excited for what's next for the club.โ
