West Coast have confirmed the signings of Patrick Naish, Luke Strnadica and Tom Joyce through the Supplemental Selection Period.

The trio will join the Eagles' rookie list for the season ahead after the club moved defender Tom Cole and rookie Campbell Chesser to their inactive list, with the pair having sustained long-term injuries this pre-season.

Naish, an ex-Tiger, played nine games for Richmond across four years at Punt Road, having been drafted as a father-son selection in 2017 to follow in the footsteps of his dad and club great Chris Naish.

The 23-year-old ventured to Western Australia for the final days of the SSP window to train under Adam Simpson, with Naish having impressed in a short stint during the weekend's loss to Fremantle in the AAMI Community Series.

Former Docker Luke Strnadica has been handed a second chance in the AFL after going uncapped during his time with Fremantle, having since shined for WAFL club East Fremantle since his delisting in 2018.

Joyce has been in and out of West Coast's pre-season training plans since late last year, with the ex-Brisbane listed player having also turned heads during his short period with the Eagles.

The 21-year-old was culled by the Lions at the end of the 2021 season after failing to break into Chris Fagan's senior side.

โ€œWe have obviously received an unusually high number of long-term injuries in the last few weeks and we needed to navigate a way through that to offer greater depth in a number of areas,โ€ list and recruiting manager Rohan Oโ€™Brien said on the announcement.

โ€œSo we placed Campbell Chesser and Tom Cole on the inactive list because they are likely to be sidelined for the next four to six months. They are both important players in the short and long term and we need to act in their best interests and give them time to recover appropriately.

โ€œThat also means we are able to provide opportunities for Luke Strnadica, Tom Joyce and Patrick Naish which is exciting. All three have been most impressive through this period with both their attitude and application and it is great to offer them another chance.โ€

The trio of new recruits will join former Fremantle tall Hugh Dixon in joining West Coast through the SSP window.

Dixon joined the Eagles after retired veteran Brad Sheppard called time on his career, opening a list spot for the forward/ruck utility.
