West Coast has cut ties with Patrick Naish after only a season, with the former Tiger joining the Eagles' ranks via the supplemental selection period late last year.
The call came on Friday after Naish managed 11 outings across a season that proved to be a historic nadir for the Eagles.
The father-son selection had initially joined his boyhood club, Richmond, in 2018, heading to Punt Road after being plucked with the 27th pick of that year's draft.
Though a talented junior prospect, Naish failed to cement a place in Damien Hardwick's ambush, lacing the books on just nine occasions throughout three seasons at Tigerland.
Speaking on the club's decision to part ways with the pacy winger, West Coast footy boss Gavin Bell paid praise to Naish after uprooting his life and chipping in when the Eagles' chips were down.
“Patrick came to us at a very difficult time and made a solid contribution to the club at senior level and with the WAFL Eagles,” Bell said.
“He was a popular member of the squad, made some lasting friendships and we wish him every success with the next opportunity that comes his way.
"We wish Patrick well in his future football endeavours and thank him very much for answering and committing to a very late call up in 2022."
Having spent portions of his childhood in both Victoria and South Australia due to his father Chris' own AFL endeavours with Richmond and Port Adelaide, it remains to be seen where Naish will commence his next footballing chapter.
Naish joins High Dixon, Tom Joyce, Jackson Nelson (all delisted), as well as Josh Kennedy and Jack Redden (both retired) in heading for the exits at Lathlain.
