The West Coast Eagles have released a statement regarding the club's coaching future.

The Eagles are coming off a rare joyful weekend at which they defeated the Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium, in doing so denting the Victorian club's finals hopes.

It's just West Coast's third victory of the 2023 season, as it sits in second-last position on the ladder, moving ahead of North Melbourne to 17th position.

On Monday, the Eagles released a club statement detailing an update on the positions of staff members following an 'unofficial' meeting at Chairman Paul Fitzpatrick's house.

"The West Coast Eagles Board met this morning for an informal discussion at the home of Chairman Paul Fitzpatrick," Monday morning's statement reads.

"The club remains firm on its position that no decisions have been made around the future of any staff members and that none of those key decisions will be made until after the season.

"Our club is focused on celebrating the careers of three champions โ€“ Shannon Hurn, Luke Shuey and Nic Naitanui โ€“ at our final match of the season against Adelaide at Optus Stadium on Saturday night."

The future of contracted senior coach Adam Simpson, who coached the Eagles to their triumphant 2018 premiership, remains up in the air.

The Eagles host the Crows this Saturday evening in the club's final game of the season.
