Luke Foley will p;lay no further part in West Coast's rebuild after the Eagles announced the defender had been delisted on Monday.
The Lathlain club's choice to cut ties with the uncontracted stopper has seen Foley's career in blue and gold capped at 32 games.
In a statement released by the Eagles on Monday, West Coast's footy boss Gavin Bell took time to thank the 23-year-old for his five years of service to the club.
“Unfortunately, in this industry decisions are made on players' careers at about this time every year,” Bell said.
“We have just begun the process of making some tough calls and we have advised Luke that we do not see him as part of the future.
“He has been a solid contributor in the last five years and has certainly created some strong relationships within the club. We wish Luke every success for whatever the future holds.”
Foley joins the decorated ilk of Shannon Hurn, Nic Naitanui and skipper Luke Shuey in leaving the club following the wooden spoon season.
It remains to be seen just how many other uncontracted Eagles head for the exit this off-season, however, at present, each of Alex Witherden, Connor West, Greg Clark, Isiah Winder, Jai Culley, Jake Waterman, Sam Petrevski-Seton, Xavier O'Neill and Zane Trew remain off contract.
