West Coast forward Tyler Brockman has reportedly been charged by police following a recent driving incident in Western Australia.

The Eagles confirmed earlier this month that Brockman was assisting police following an incident involving the young Eagle and no other vehicle in Geraldton.

The club revealed at the time that the 21-year-old was not injured from the accident.

Now, according to 7 News Perth reporter Ryn Daniels, Brockman has been charged with the alleged offences of Careless Driving, Failing to Report an Incident in Which Property was Damaged, and Failing to Stop.

It is alleged that Brockman fled from the scene of the traffic accident, where a car collided with a light post, before returning later.

Brockman is now expected to face court in July.

“Police have charged West Coast forward Tyler Brockman following an incident in Geraldton earlier this month," Daniels posted to X on Sunday. .

“Brockman is charged with: Careless Driving, Failing to Report an Incident in Which Property was Damaged, and Failing to Stop.

“A ute collided with a light post while attempting to negotiate a roundabout. The light post crumpled at the base and fell across the roadway.

“Police will allege Brockman fled the area on foot, then returned a short time later to remove the vehicle prior to police arrival. Police will also allege neither the accident or damage to property was reported to police by Brockman.

“He's due to appear before the Geraldton Magistrates Court in July.”

West Coast are yet to comment on the latest details surrounding Brockman's traffic accident.

Brockman joined West Coast ahead of the 2024 season from Hawthorn and played six games for West Coast before falling out of Adam Simpson's side.
