West Coast midfielder Elliot Yeo has been handed a one week ban afterย losing his cool while playing in the Eagles' reserves in the WAFL.
Yeo struck out at Swans player Aiden Clarke after Clarke appeared to take Yeo's legs out in a marking contest. The 28-year-old Eagle got up quickly and lashed out at Clarke, who was already lying on his back.
In the aftermath of the incident, footage appears to show Clarke immediately grab his face.
โElliot Yeo there, got a bit heated. Heโs not too happy with that one,โ one commentator said.
โA little bit of an old chokehold there, goodness gracious me.โ

Yeo was reported for striking, with the WAFL MRP offering the premiership Eagle a one match suspension.
As the Eagles have the bye in the AFL in Round 13, while the WAFL will carry on, Yeo will not miss any AFL game time due to the ban.
Yeo has only managed to play two games in 2022, with a calf injury suffered during the pre-season keeping him sidelined until Round 5, and a heavy hit in Round 6 keeping him sidelined for numerous weeks with concussion. After that, the 28-year-old was prevented from returning due to the AFL's COVID health and safety protocols.
