The Western Bulldogs will unveil premiership defender Dale Morris as the 24th member of the club's hall of fame next month.

A week after announcing former captain and 300-gamer Bob Murphy as a half of fame inductee, Morris will join his old teammate in being honoured as one of the greatest to pull on the blue, white and red.

Morris played 253 games with the Bulldogs, a career that came to fruition after being selected through the Rookie Draft in 2004 out of Werribee.

The hard-nosed backman endured a difficult run with injuries during his time in the AFL, suffering three ACL setbacks across 15 years at Whitten Oval.

Morris would play a key role in the Dogs' drought-breaking 2016 premiership side, and would also earn an All-Australian blazer in 2008.

The Doutta Stars junior would call time on his career at the end of the 2019 season after suffering his third ACL injury.

Morris is currently plying his trade as a development coach at the Brisbane Lions, working under Chris Fagan and alongside former Bulldogs Jed Adcock, Mitch Hahn and Ben Hudson.

Along with Morris and Murphy, the Dogs are set to unveil three further hall of fame inductees on June 10, while two current hall of famers will be elevated to Legends status.
