Tigers legend Matthew Richardson has ranked his top seven AFL young guns on Sportsday.

The league is current littered with elite young talent, as seen in last year's 22under22 team.

Richardson graded 'young' players as those aged 22 years old or younger and based it off if he was building a team.

Check out his best AFL young guns below, counting down from 7-1.

6. Zak Butters (Port Adelaide)

Coming in at number six is Power gun Zak Butters - who has emerged as the standout talent of the club's first-round 2018 draftees.

Butters had a breakout 2020 season, averaging 14.6 disposals from 17 games and booting 11 goals.

He is set to take another step forward in 2021 with more midfield time for premiership-hopefuls Port Adelaide.
