Channel 7 has confirmed its commentary team and broadcast talent for the 2023 AFL Grand Final, with a star-studded list of football greats and punditry icons to be involved in the proceedings.
Senior commentators Brian Taylor and James Brayshaw are set to call Saturday's decider between Collingwood and Brisbane, with special comments to be provided by Luke Hodge, Daisy Pearce and Shaun Burgoyne as Abbey Holmes provides insight from the boundary.
The day's broadcast will commence from the early hours of grand final day, with the station's schedule to commence at 7:00pm (AEST) through to the post-game, tallying 12 hours of coverage.
Channel 7 commentator Hamish McLachlan is set to host the broadcast throughout the day, while news reporters Mitch Cleary and Tom Browne will be in the thick of it with all the latest as the day pans out.
Overlooked caller Luke Darcy will be among the bevy of big names taking part in Channel 7's festival of footy coverage, with the likes of Patrick Dangerfield, Leigh Matthews, Matthew Richardson, Jude Bolton, Dale Thomas, Nathan Jones, Jobe Watson, Chris Johnson, Campbell Brown, Joel Selwood, Nic Naitanui, Rebecca Maddern and Georgie Parker also set to feature.
“Twenty years since they last met on grand final day on the hallowed turf of the MCG, the Brisbane Lions and Collingwood will meet again, for what is shaping up to be an epic contest between the competition's two best sides," Seven managing director Lewis Martin said in a statement.

Channel 7's broadcast is also set to feature six-time NBA champion and seven-time NBA All-Star Scottie Pippen in the lead-up to the game.
The 2023 AFL Grand Final will commence at 2:30pm.
