Champion Data have ranked the 10 best rukmen of the 2020 season so far, with Melbourne’s Max Gawn taking first place.

It would come as no surprise that the superstar has taken out the number one spot, averaging 32 hit outs per game this season.

Todd Goldstein and Nic Naitanui rounded out the top three, despite Kane Cornes placing Naitanui at number one on his list.

St Kilda’s Paddy Ryder and Gold Coast Co-Captain Jarrod Witts made up the top five.

Perhaps the biggest surprise was Collingwood’s Brodie Grundy sitting ninth despite leading the league in hitouts.

However, Gary Healy said on Fox Footy's On the Couch that he didn't think Grundy has had the best year.

"I think he’s had a couple of great games early in the piece and I think he’s battled a fair bit in recent times.

“Grundy is one of the real superstars of the competition, he’s a top 5 – 10 player,” Healy said.

Scott Lycett, Marc Pittonet, Reilly O’Brien and Rowan Marshall rounded out the the top 10.
