It's once again the time of year in which we pin our hopes for happiness on some kids with potential.
As the draft is likely to yield far more questions that answers for the standard footy fan, we here at Zero Hanger have attempted to alleviate some of the ambiguity for you.
Here is a comprehensive list of future stars we feel each club should - if available - be taking with their first pick in the draft
Gold Coast (Pick 5)
Alex Davies
With an already burgeoning crop of talented youth on their list, Gold Coast are almost certain to select academy player Alex Davies to join their rising squad.
Davies, a 192 centimetre tall midfielder, has missed a large portion of football due to an elbow injury, however with an ability to keep calm in traffic and explode away from it, his upside is known to his future employers.
It is this versatility that is not only set to excite Suns fans, but also add a further string to Stuart Dew's midfield bow.
FOOTBALL | @GoldCoastSUNS Academy product Alex Davies looms as Queenslandโs greatest 2020 #AFLDraft hope, a big bodied inside midfielder who extracts well at the contest.
Catch up on how heโs tracking in our AFL Draft Watch series.
