Who is the most underrated player in the game?
Kane Cornes has declared that it's Collingwood defender Brayden Maynard.
The hard nut was drafted to the Magpies from the Sandringham Dragons with pick 30 in the 2014 AFL draft.
The 23-year old has played 98 AFL games and developed into one of Collingwood's most important players, finishing fifth in the club's best and fairest last season.
Speaking on SEN's The Captain's Run, Cornes labelled Maynard a "gun" who deserves more recognition.
“Brayden Maynard is the most underrated player in the AFL,” Cornes told SEN’s The Captain’s Run.
“Some would think that is controversial, I just do not think Brayden Maynard from Collingwood gets any credit whatsoever, in fact, I hardly hear him spoken about.
“But every time I watch him, I think, ‘This guy is a gun’. He is tough, he is physical, he is a nightmare matchup for any forward, he can shut you down, he can stop you getting a kick but he can also get the footy himself and he uses it well.
“I reckon Brayden Maynard is the most underrated player comp.”
