Carlton have announced a new co-major partner with Great Southern Bank coming on board.
The Blues have been going very well off the field under CEO Cain Liddle, with the club seeing a record number of members (81,012) and now securing a new co-major partner.
Speaking exclusively to Zero Hanger, Carlton defender Jacob Weitering said that the off-field success of the club was a huge boost and showed the clubs stability.
"It's huge, the stability we've now got in our front office upstairs headed up by Cain (Liddle), Mark (LoGiudice) and Brad Lloyd is awesome for the boys," Weitering said.
"It's nice to see there's businesses out there that want to support us and back us in to bring in some success on the field. They're the signs of a good club and now we've just got to do them a little favour and win a few more games."
The Blues face West Coast this week in a must-win clash with their season hanging by a thread.
Weitering has been outstanding for Carlton this year and may well be in line for a maiden All-Australian blazer.
The key-defender said that while their start to the season hasn't been ideal, they have plenty of time to turn it around.
"Yes, of course. It's a long way to go and we'll play it week-by-week. This season's even longer than last year, there's still 11 or 12 games to go," Weitering told Zero Hanger.
"We're 4-7 which at the end of the day isn't ideal at all but if you look at the ladder we have St Kilda, GWS and Fremantle in front of us and we play all three of those teams in the back half of the year.
The Eagles are missing a host of big names this week and have been vulnerable away from home this year.
Weitering said that this weekend as good a time as any for the Blues to start turning their season around.
"It's a really good opportunity to get a win on the board this week. They're a quality outfit missing a few names so it's a great opportunity for the boys going into the bye to set ourselves up with some confidence and try and win some games in the back-half of they year," said the 23-year-old.
The Blues new sponsor has come on board for the next three years in a deal that Weitering believes shows the club is moving in the right direction both on and off-field.
"This is where you can start to look at examples of other clubs that have been able to do this," said the former number one draft pick.
"If you look at a few big Melbourne clubs, Collingwood is one that's been able to in that last two decades to have their affairs in order off field and Richmond in recent years have been terrific.
"Cain Liddle is from Richmond and he'd seen the way they'd operated and it's something that does translate. You can't have chaos at any part of the club, you don't have to be great... you just want to be good in all areas.
"I think we've made some great steps in that direction and a lot of credit goes to Cain and Mark and it's really exciting for players.
Carlton CEO Cain Liddle said in a statement that the deal with Great Southern Bank showed the co-major partners belief in the direction of the club.
“Great Southern Bank are taking their business and their brand to a new level and their decision to use this Co-Major partnership to do so, shows belief and support in the direction of our entire football club,” Liddle said.

“They have been a loyal partner of our club since first coming on board as a Platinum partner in 2018, and their eagerness to increase their support is a great reflection of our already existing, strong and mutually beneficial relationship.
“There is no denying that Co-Major partnerships are incredibly important, especially in this current climate, and to have two strong partners in Great Southern Bank and Hyundai, aligned with us at such a significant level, gives us the perfect off-field platform to build from.”
