Young Bomber Elijah Tsatas is set to play his first game of the season this weekend, expected to play in the VFL after being sidelined with a knee injury.
Tsatas suffered an acute meniscus tear in the preseason after being drafted by the Dons with Pick 5 in the 2022 AFL Draft, unable to feature at any level yet due to his injury.
Speaking to club media, high performance manager Daniel McPherson confirmed the 18-year-old was expected to play after returning to full training.
"Elijah will train fully this week and be available to play his first game for the season in the VFL," McPherson said.
The Bombers also provided an update on Dylan Shiel, who hasn't featured since Round 9 due to a foot injury, expecting both him and Jake Kelly (concussion) to feature at senior level.
"Provided he (Shiel) gets through training this week, we expect him to be available to play," McPherson said.
"The aim for Jake (Kelly) is to train fully this week, and if he gets through the week feeling well, and is confident to play again, he will come into selection calculations."
Peter Wright is also nearing a return from a shoulder injury, but has been ruled out of a Round 12 return.
"Whether it's before or after the bye is yet to be determined, but he won't play this week." McPherson said.
The Bombers face North Melbourne this weekend on Sunday at Marvel Stadium, looking to solidify their position in the top eight.
