Collingwood have secured new deals for off-contract trio Reef McInnes, Ned Long and Tew Jiath, with all three Magpies now signed through to the end of the 2027 season.

McInnes' deal sees the club place its faith in the forward-turned-defender, who suffered an ACL injury last week after securing his place in Craig McRae's senior side.

The NGA product has played 23 AFL games in black and white across four seasons, starting his career in attack before undergoing a role change last year.

Long has earned his first extension with Collingwood since joining the club via last year's Mid-Season Draft.

The former Hawk played seven games under McRae in 2024 and featured in all three games to start this season, with a career-best outing coming in Round 1 against Port Adelaide.

Jiath is in his second year with Collingwood, having been drafted by the Magpies with Pick 37 in the 2023 intake.

The Gippsland junior made his AFL debut against North Melbourne last year, which is his only senior appearance to date.

โ€œWe're pleased to have Reef, โ€˜TJ' and Ned extend their contracts with our Club,โ€ Magpies list lead Justin Leppitsch said.

โ€œWhile we are disappointed that we will be without Reef while he overcomes his ACL injury, we have been so pleased with his growth and development, especially through his move to the backline. We know he will bounce back from this setback to establish himself as a regular in our side.

โ€œThroughout his 10 games in the black and white, Ned has emerged from being a rookie to becoming a regular midfielder, which reflects his commitment and dedication to his development.

โ€œ'TJ' showed great promise throughout his first year at Collingwood and we see him becoming a key part of our future backline.

โ€œIt's exciting for our fans to see these three players, alongside Harry DeMattia and Harvey Harrison, who also recently signed, commit to the Club while continuing to take their individual games to the next level.โ€

Collingwood's trio of re-signings follows the club's recent retentions of youngsters Harry DeMattia (2027), Harvey Harrison (2027) and Jakob Ryan (2026).
