Melbourne's Jacob van Rooyen has been successful in having his two-match suspension overturned after the club appealed the tribunal's decision.
The Demons confirmed they would appeal the ban handed to their young forward taking the decision to the AFL Appeals Board.
van Rooyen was controversially given a two-game ban for striking after attempting to spoil the ball in a contest with Sun Charlie Ballard during Round 8, which the MRO deemed as careless conduct, high impact and high contact.

The Thursday night appeal, which ran for close to four hours, was ultimately a success for the Demons, with the 20-year-old now be free to face Hawthorn and Port Adelaide in Melbourne's upcoming matches.
